
Holbrook Mahn
is a Professor Emeritus in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies at the University of New Mexico, with over 50 years of experience in education, focusing on teaching English as a Second Language and second language literacy. His scholarly work has extensively explored the theories of Lev Vygotsky, particularly the role of language in the development of consciousness, and he has written widely on applying these concepts to educational practice.

Dr. Margo Collier
is an Associate Professor in Special Education at the University of New Mexico and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Educational Diagnosis Certificate. Her research interests include assessment, secondary and postsecondary transition for students with disabilities, inclusion, reading instruction for struggling readers, and art for exceptional students.
